Deceit and Death Picture

~~This is a Kelpie, a gaelic creature that lived in bogs and swamps, and would lure humans to it, and then drown them for it's own pleasure. They were said to be hairless, with weeds and kelp and such for their manes. They're so creepy, but I've wanted to paint one for the longest time, ever since reading Tithe, by Holly Black. I like how in her book the Kelpie can take any form it wants, sometimes horse, sometimes human. The way that it talked of drowning it's victims was a sort of morbid fascination, I suppose like a lot of gaelic fae seemed to be portrayed!
