With the Sun Picture

The concept behind this one is about two weeks old. At first, I wanted to do it in ink washes (which I may or may not) but then I got an idea. There are some interesting paintings of very simplistic forms at a Mexican mom n' pop place where I live. I really love the message they convey with so little detail and soft, smooth coloring. That's what I wanted to achieve here. The title comes from a poem about the Green Man:

"The holly is flowering as hayfields are rolling
Their gleaming long grasses like waves of the sea;
'I shine with the sun, 'says the Green Man,
'I shine with the sun, 'says he,"
