kelpie doodle Picture

I wanted to draw a kelpie again as they are so cool (I drew some ages ago). I am fairly happy with the upper body but I dislike the rest and I will probably change it before I get round to colouring him/her in.

Kelpies are mythological creatures native to Scotland and a few other places. They are dangerous water horses. They temporarily take the form of beautiful horses, when people touch them they cannot let go, the kelpies then drag them underwater drowning them before they devour them. The only way to escape is to cut off whatever limb is touching them and hope you are fast enough to get away.

I was shown some wonderful Pictish carvings a few weeks ago and on several stone's the Kelpie was carved
