Chain of Fenrir: Gleipner Picture

Loki "shows off" the sign of his servitude to Lavender. The runic mark was crafted by Lavender's adopted mother and placed on Loki with his father's help. He wasn't pleased.

As you've probably already guessed, i draw a lot of elements from Norse mythology, which is fascinating in its treatment of the concept of heroism. Loki shouldn't be confused with the trickster god, Loki, however - he's his own person, named for a powerful god to give him more power. "Fenrir" refers to the wolf who will devour Odin at Ragnarok, and "Gleipner" is the dwarven chain that keeps him imprisoned until that day. In this context, it means that the runic seal is incredibly powerful binding magic.
Lavender has her own mark of binding, of course, but that's a later project... (*~.^*)
