For once, I've drawn something that's clearly and literally a "mythological creature or being." This is somewhat odd, because the inspiration, and the quote, are from rather apocalyptic science fiction. The Parable of the Sower, by Octavia E. Butler - I read it in ninth grade and it resonated, though I'm not sure at this point whether the meanings she put in her words resembled in the slightest the meanings I derived from them.

This has nothing to do with">Swarthmore College. Don't even think about it.
