Rockefeller Fountainheads 2 Picture

The pose makes me think that ab crunches pump the water up. *g* One of Rene Paul Chambellan's fountainheads in one of the six pools of the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center. I think this is either Thought or Imagination, a Nereid, in Chambellan's Qualities That Spurred Mankind. Nereids were mythological daughters of the benevolent sea god, Nereus, and his wife, Doris, the daughter of Oceanus. Sea nymphs, or mermaids, they were said to accompany Poseidon and aid sailors during perilous storms.
