Rivalry Picture

The story of Atalanta basically boils down to this:

There's a chick who runs like a cheeta and refuses to get married. There's a goddess, Artemis, who favors hunters and maidens. There's another goddess, Aphrodite, who is big into marriage and femininity and so on.

Artemis and Aphrodite basically have a cat fight using Atalanta and her suitor as pawns.

Although this is the only instance in the Greek cannon where the two goddesses come into direct conflict, somehow, I imagine it happens A LOT on good old Mount Olympus.

(And whether I was taking this in a femslash direction is completely up to your interpretation.)
