Rise of Selene, Version 2 Picture

A second shot taken alongside the original piece, this one with a vertical orientation. Part of me likes this composition a little bit better, even if it did turn out slightly grainy because of the higher ISO.

Taken on the same hilltop as my piece "Robes of Nyx" from last winter (hence the mythology themed title again), a vivid, bright moon rises up over the peaks of the Catskill mountains in eastern New York, illuminating the world below with its pale, silvery light. This shot has the camera's shutter left open, capturing even more of the light and creating a world halfway between night and day. I was very pleased with the results.
