Thoth Picture

My take on the Egyptian god, Thoth. He is the god of scribe and often depicted with the head of an ibis or a baboon. My version of Thoth requires a wheeled contraption with a mechanical writing arm to record ideas for the ibis, the only part of Thoth still alive. The moon is his symbol and thus it is attached to the top of his contraption. An ankh is depicted as well as an Egyptian staff, both of which are commonly held by Egyptian gods. The hieroglyphics on the bottom of his chair say "Thoth."

Drawn in pencil and cante.
