The Preserver [Sailor Star Healer] Picture

One in a series of 3

My theory behind the Sailor Starlights is that they're based on the Hindu Trimurti.

Nearly all the characters in Sailor Moon, and certainly ALL the Sailor Scouts, are inspired by religious or mythical characters. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are literally named after characters from Greek / Roman mythology (Serenity and Endymion). The 4 main inner-scouts are both based on their greek counterparts AND the directional mythologies and elements of Feng Shui (Mercury is Water, Mars is Fire, Jupiter is Wood, Venus is Metal).

The Sailor Star Lights are based on the three deities of the Hinduism Trimurti; Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu. Sailor Star Fighter is based on Shiva the Destroyer, which his why her attack is verbally associated with physical power (Star Serious Laser). Sailor Star Healer is based on Vishnu the Preserver, which is why her attack is verbally associated with pain and healing (Star Sensitive Inferno), but is more a case for her name, which is literally Healer. Sailor Star Maker is the easiest to connect, since she represents Brahma, the Maker, and literally shares his title. Her attack of "Star Gentle Uterus" is meant to draw from the idea of fertility and birth, since Brahma is associated with being the Creator.

This is Sailor Star Healer as Vishnu, The Preserver. Her snake buddy there is the god Shesha.
