The Moon, from my mythology. She was the daughter of the Sun, who was an evil character. He created her so that she would free him from the Light, and the twin Goddesses who kept him from working his mischief. However, the Moon was a good person, but she couldn't control the desire the Sun had given her to set him free, so the twin Goddesses told the Dark to guard her, and every fourteen days the Dark must pluck the feathers from the Moon's silver wings, until they are gone, lessening her power, and then her wings grow back over the next fourteen days, representing the waxing and waning of the moon.

I really wanted to do something different than just angel wings here, I wanted something more full - something that you could see as the moon itself.
