Fenrir and the Moon Picture

Well Fenrir wasn't actually the one who chased the moon, it was one of his...kids? Either Skoll or Hatti, I can't remember which one. I think it's Hatti, but I could be wrong.

Either way, the wolf will chase the moon until Ragnarok, when it's jaws will finally blot out it's light forever.

Unlike some other cultures, the ancient Norsemen saw the moon as a masculine figure, and the sun as a feminine figure. From reading the myths, it seems that although the norse did see women as being soft and not neccesarily suited for fighting or ruling, they at least did not see them as being dark and devious.
