Bhargava (Parshuram) Picture

The 6th incarnation of Vishnu. He was named Ram, but when he received axe (Parshu), his weapon, he was known as Parshuram. He was descendant of Bhrigu and that's why he is known as Bhargava and other followers of him are knows as Bhargavas. He has his own weapon, called Bhargavastra. He is believed to be immortal, and has been seen in Ramayana as well as Mahabharata. When Ram breaks bow of Shiva in Ramayana, Parshuram arrives furiously there. In Mahabharata, he was mentor of the legends like Bhishma, Drona, and Karna. He has a bow, named Vijay Bow, which I've portrayed in this pic. He gave that to karna, and Karna used it in the 17th day of battle against Arjun, but he was killed.

Parshuram's abode is Mahendra Mountain. He meditates there. Parshuram was trained by Lord Shiva himself. Shiva trained him in martial arts and many other things. He made the earth Kshatriya-less for 21 times, killing all of them. It is believed when the 10th incarnation of Vishnu arrives on earth, Parshuram would come and teach him in martial arts.

P.S. Yes, you might wonder why my name is also Bhargav. Because my parents named me after him.
