In Greecko mythology, Hydusa was once a beautiful yet selfish, arrogant, and cruel snake who uses her beauty to have her own way. Athena, Greecko goddess of wisdom, was disgusted by her selfish ways and decides to turn her into a hydra-like snake monster with serpent hair with faces so terrible to behold that the mere sight of them would turn onlookers to stone.
