A Daughter of Gold Picture

Finally finished. I never thought it would be done.

I'm so glad I finally finished it. Summer break should really help with the production of artwork.

Anyway, about the drawing, it's of King Midas, the ancient Grecian king, who wished that everything he touched would turn to gold. Not realizing the kind of power he held, he accidently turned his daughter, Zoe, to gold.

The blue is supposed to represent the regret and sorrow he has for obtaining this power, because he just killed the liveliest object of his possession.

The checkerboard is there because I happen to like checkerboard patterns.
