Yamata No Orochi Picture

This is the design for the villain for my original manga Dante's Requiem.

A bit about Yamata No Orochi </u> The name Yamata No Orochi translates to mean "big snake of eight branches." In the Japanese Mythology, Yamata No Orochi was an eightheaded dragon that (like most dragons it seems) demands that a maiden be offered to it as a sacrifice. While the god of the sea, Susanoo, was traveling he came upon two weeping parents who told him that their last daughter was to be a sacrifice to the dragon (the other daughters had already become sacrifices to the dragon as well). Susanoo agrees to slay the dragon under the condition that the eighth daughter will be his wife.
Susanoo slays the dragon by getting the heads drunk with eight huge vats of rice wine. When the dragon is too drunk to fight back, Susanoo slices Orochi to peices.

Fact: According to the story Susanoo finds a sword embedded in one of the dragon's eight tails.

This Human form of Orochi:

-Is a shapeshifter but is limited to eight forms (because the dragon had eight heads. It's like "eight faces").
-Loves sake to death and drinks it constantly, usually resulting in a drunk dragon.
-Uses a spear as a weapon but is also somewhat skilled with swords.
