His domain is a lone island called Aeolia. Aeolus is known throughout Greek mythological stories, most especially in The Odyssey” written by Homer. He is visited by Odysseus and his shipmates who were lost in a stray journey on the sea years after their victory in the Trojan War, the central plot of Homer's other masterpiece The Iliad. After a month of their stay in Aeolia, Aeolus granted Odysseus a bag of winds to be used on the west wind to go home in Ithaca. Unfortunately, it was opened during their voyage and Odysseus did not reach Ithaca. In this story, Aeolus is tasked by Jupiter to assist SpongeBob in his quest to defeat the returning Titan armies.
