Argus Picture

The many-eyed, ever-watchful guardian from Greek mythology. Even though he had as many as 100 eyes, he failed his most importaint task: guarding the nymph Io against the sexual advances of Zeus. To free the nymph, who was disguised as a white heifer, Hermes used spoken charms to put all of Argus' eyes to sleep, then murdered him.

The little eyeflies were my idea. They're like tiny scouts for the ever-watchful Argus.
