Icarus Complex Picture

the ancient greek story tells of a boy who's father, a grand and accomplished inventor, created wings for himself and his son out of wax and feathers in order to escape prison, for the waters surrounding the prison was well watched. He warned his son as they flew off not to fly too far, but Icarus ignored his father's warning, and in the bliss of flight he lost track and got too close to the sun. The wax melted his wings and he plumetted back down into the sea.

Is this mankind's warning not to chase things that are out of your reach? Or is it a call to go about them with sense? I'll take the latter.
