Quetzalcoatl Picture

Just Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent god of Aztec mythology. I’ve heard that he’s the god of the wind, but others say he’s the god of learning, others say he’s more of a hero/mythic king…geh. I don’t know which one is right.

Yes, I do know Quetzalcoatl is supposed to have an elongated head and be really, really ugly, with pasty skin and a beard, but…he can be pretty once in a while. Not that my drawings are pretty, but when I imagine what he’d look like, he’s pretty. I don’t have tan markers, bleh, so his skin is kinda more pale than it should be.

At the end of his pony tail, rather than more hair, it turns into feathers in my interpretation of him. I didn’t really research Aztec clothing, so I just used what I know from seeing paintings and carvings of him, and pictures in the library’s mythology books I try to run away with.

And on top of all this, my scanner assaulted it. It’s pixel-y and off color, but meh.

Maybe later I'll draw Huitzilopochtli, Tlaloc, Tezcatlipoca or Chicomecoatl! Maybe! If I stop being lazy and failing.
