Hey, Paul... Paul Bunyan Picture

He's sixty three axe handles high
With his feet on the ground and his head in the sky
Hey, Paul! Paul Bunyan!

For all my international friends out there, Paul Bunyan is an American folk hero born out of America's northern territories. As wikipedia puts it he's a "mythological lumberjack who is usually believed to be a giant as well as a lumberjack of unusual skill. The character was first documented in the work of U.S. journalist James MacGillivray in 1910. In 1916, as part of an advertising campaign for a logging company, advertisement writer William Laughead reworked the old logging tales into that of a giant lumberjack and gave birth to the modern Paul Bunyan legend."

So last weekend my family and I headed to the Wisconsin Dells for a brief (but relaxing) vacation. While there, we traditionally make it a point to eat at a restaurant called Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty. (Awesome doughnuts if you're ever there)

So in anticipation, me and my nieces chimed the old song from the Disney short. It's been running through my head ever since! If you have the time, and haven't seen it before, check it out. It really has some ingenious moments in it.
