Cerberus and a Wyrm Picture

A serpentlike dragon with a long, slender, wingless body. This creature is fairly mean-spirited and spends most of its time guarding treasure. It can be found in or near bodies of water.

Another offspring of Echidna and Typhon, Cerberus is the guardian of the gates to Hades, allowing only dead spirits to enter--and none to leave. Although Cerberus holds a high position, he is not infallible--a few heros, including Heracles, Orpheus, and Hermes, were able to sneak past him at one time or another.
