100 Themes, #7: Heaven

“I'm glad you like it. Shall we?”


Okay, the “heaven” theme turned out to be a bit trickier than I suspected. How do I portray it? What am I really even portraying? I ended up going with this logic: Heaven is where God works, Wawalu is like a god, Wawalu bases in the Egan Tree, so I draw the Egan Tree. It's kind of a cop-out considering what could really be done with this theme,, if I feel like doing better later, I can do better later. I still have about ninety themes to go.


The Egan Tree is somewhat a ripoff of Yggdrasil, the World Tree from Norse mythology, and somewhat not. Really, it's just Wawalu's giant tree. He lives (in a sense) in it and works from the studio tower built into its trunk. It is, quite literally, Wawalu's heaven.
