The dragon of the Kleomenidies Picture

In Greek mythology dragons are gigantic, mighty and frightening snake-like creatures extremely aggressive and dangerous, far away from Chinese or medieval dragons.

This is a sketch about the dragon that is on the shield of many characters from the novel "LO SCUDO DI TALOS", written by archeologist Valerio Massimo Manfredi:

Aristarchos, Brithos and Kleidemos (Talos) are cousins of the Spartan king Kleomenes The 1st and on their shield they have a copper figure of a dragon with its mouth widely open.
