Set in Stone Picture

As a friend in art class said, I really like these rocks. I don't know how someone can't be mesmerized or intrigued by Stonehenge and it's mythology.

This was the last project that we did in art class. As a few of my previous uploads were, a sort of study in a landscape, and this time we had to do it in oil paint. I can honestly say I was surprised at how much I liked using oil paints. Ever since I started using watercolors more, I disliked using acrylics because of how thick it was. Oil was really thick, and yet it had a different sort of malleability than watercolors, but it still had that malleability I liked. The only thing I didn't like was that it take SO DAMN LONG TO DRY!!! You can not do an overly good oil painting in three days since it takes like one or two days to dry to the touch! And a week to actually dry enough so that you can paint over it without disturbing the other layers.

So as you have probably figured out, this is oil paint on acrylic paper.

I really suck at taking pictures of my art, they always look so much better in person.
