Lilith is a figure in Jewish mythology.
She's a female demons in some Mesopotamian texts and she is associated with the storm, considered the bearer of misfortune, illness and death.
For the ancient Jews, Lilith was Adam's first wife (then previous to Eve), who was divorced and kicked out because he refused to obey her husband.
Lilith appears in the set of beliefs of Judaism as a night-demon, or like an owl.
She's characterized by the negative aspects of femininity: adultery, witchcraft and lust.
The figure of Lilith becomes the symbol of the woman who will not submit to man.
