Chimera Picture

I'm sure everybody knows what a chimera is. If not, allow me to explain. According to Greek mythology, a chimera is a monstrous creature that is composed of three (sometimes four) animals. It usually appears as a lion with the heads of a goat and a dragon. Some versions even depicts the creature with a serpant for a tail. The Chimera was one of the offspring of Typhon and Echidna and a sibling of such monsters as Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra. The term chimera has also come to describe any mythical or fictional animal with parts taken from various animals. They have appeared in various role playing games including Dungeons and Dragons, and Final Fantasy.
