Echidna is described as having the face and upper body of a beautiful nymph and the lower body of a snake, pretty much like the most known Nagas.

She is the mother of many of the monsters in Greek mythology, including Laernian Hydra.

This one pretty much sums up my opinion about mothers, too. Egotist delusionals.
There are good mothers out there, but this far I have met too few of the good type to believe they are the rule and not the exception.
