I originally started this doll to try to use blue, a color I don't usually use in my dolls. Then I thought of a little sea/ocean fairy and I endend up with a little Nereid.

In Greek mythology, the Nereids (neer'-ee-eds) (Νηρηΐδες) are sea nymphs, the fifty daughters of Nereus and Doris. They often accompany Poseidon and are always friendly and helpful towards sailors fighting perilous storms

I didn't want something too serious, so I imagined the youngest one and made her look very pretty, glamourous and innocent.
But, God! She took me FOREVER to finish her! 7 days of hard work!
I searched for pictures of shells, fishes, corals, landscapes... I was going crazy! XD
The fishes are Paracanthurus Hepatus
And the shell which inspired me is Nassaria Coromaldeica.
Those white floating things are sea anemones.
