PERSEUS - 3. Zeus's Intervention Picture

Zeus Intervention

Acrisius had his guards keep a watchful eye of Danae’s cell, and allowed no one but her caretaker inside, to bring her food and clean clothes. The days passed and sorrow claimed the princess’s heart, as she stayed in her tomb-like cell. However, even with all the precautions, the King’s plan wasn’t foolproof to divine intervention. Zeus, the ultimate god, had taken note of the stunning princess. In order to make contact, he turned into bright, golden rain and seeped in her room from a tiny crack in the ceiling. Soon, Danae bore a son; Perseus. With the help of her caretaker they kept the baby hidden from the world.
