Mapinguary Picture

Medium: Ink and colored pencils on paper
I heard about this cryptid relatively recently. The mapinguary is said to be found in the Brazilian rainforests. It is described as looking like an enormous sloth, at least seven feet tall, and smells terrible. By some accounts, it has one eye like a cyclops, and a second mouth in its belly, with which it devours its victims. The natives of the rainforest swear that the mapinguary exists. Skeptics, on the other hand, say reports of the beast are distorted from ancient sightings of the Megatherium, or giant sloth. I'm very glad that new mythical creatures continue to surface!
