Ariadne Picture

Hey everyone!

It's been a while but I'm here with a new piece. I've been working on this one for months and it's been driving me crazy but I'm so happy with the final result! The goddess Ariadne was the starting point for this piece and I just kind of built on that reference. The most complicated part of this was the dress, of course, which is from the Spring 2012 collection of Alexander McQueen. I was kind of mesmerized by how beautiful it looked so I had to incorporate it. www.style.com/slideshows/fashi… Also, the model is my stunning sister who I plan on using more often.
I experimented with different mediums on this one and it was really fun, I learned a lot! What I also learned is that I need to work on smaller pieces if I ever hope to bring to life as many ideas as I can. This one took way too long!

There are two smaller pieces that I will be working on soon so stay tuned and I hope you like this one!
