Filipino mythology #2: Syokoy (Filipino Merman) Picture

Syokoy is the male counterparts of Sirena. What I found most interesting about the syokoy is that it deviates from the popular merman image. Instead of being a part man part fish, he's more of a merge between man and fish. So, Syokoy is something like the creature from the black lagoon. My interpretation of syokoy is pretty faithful to the legend, but I made him more human, since he is the male companion of Sirena. I originally gave him yellow and orange scales, but I just ended up altering it to a classic green. I gave him twin fishtails at the end of his legs instead of webbed feet, so he could be more like a fish. There is another aquatic character called Sireno, which is more like a merman, but That's not what I wanted. I didn't want a sirena with a man torso (Just so you know, I'm really not a fan of the merman). I wanted something new and different, and that's exactly what the syokoy is
