Reference sheet Ergis Aegis Picture

Finished 16th January 2015.

Reference sheet of a character I designed way back in 2013. You might have seen the sketch around before, but I decided to give it colour and some more information. For the first time I also decided to come up with a name: Ergis Aegis.
Aegis = "the protection, backing, or support of a particular person or organization. / (in classical art and mythology) an attribute of Zeus and Athene (or their Roman counterparts Jupiter and Minerva) usually represented as a goatskin shield."
Thus, the name Aegis is very fitting, wouldn't you say so? ^^

Ergis Aegis is a mix between a Long-Tailed Pangolin, a Sunda and a Tree Pangolin. He likes to spend most time in or around trees, but also has a very long tail compared to other Pangolin, though his appearance also vaguely resembles that of a Sunda Pangolin besides that of the Tree and Long-Tailed Pangolin.
His personality can best be described as being adamant, calm, careful, gentle, modest, relaxed and slightly timid.
He likes to listen to music, take walks, but all in all, he likes to be by himself.

There are eight species of Pangolin:
•Chinese Pangolin
•Giant Pangolin
•Ground Pangolin
•Indian Pangolin
•Long-Tailed Pangolin
•Philippine Pangolin
•Sunda Pangolin
•Tree Pangolin

Oh my god, I just realised... drawing a Pangolin Dragon would be a lot of work...
