The Labyrinth Picture

My first piece for my concentration in AP Studio Art. I focused on greek myths for the concentration, and it was really fun to explain the story behind the piece each time. That, and I believe telling the story distracted my teacher from how bad the pieces were. So, mission successful.

Basic Info:
Myth: Theseus and the Labyrinth
Medium: Charcoal pencils, graphite pencils, colored pencils.
Time: ~4 hours

So, abridged version of the myth. Here we have Theseus and the labyrinth. In the myth, Theseus offers himself to be one of the fourteen people to be thrown into the the labyrinth on the island of Crete where the minotaur is kept. Before he goes in, the princess of Crete, Ariadne gave him a roll of golden thread so that he could find his way out of the labyrinth. Then Theseus goes and kicks some half man, half bull ass. Ahh, Greek mythology.

PS: Idiot me did this piece on the wrong type of paper, thereby making it fugly and overly textured. Other than that~
