From Greek Mythology. She's the one who gave Theseus the string that led him back through the labyrinth and so on after killing the Minotaur. Besides, I like drawing fire (failuristically). Props for my background, eh?

I just finished the Sandman series this weekend, which was really the only reason I was thinking of mythology. After all, there is a whole volume on the Furies... though Gaiman ties up pretty much all types of mythology- from Loki to Egyptian goddesses to necropolises (necropoli?) where there are people trained to perform death rituals. Who knew?

I like criticism on my work, by the way. It makes me better. Because all those folds were total guesses (shh, don't tell).
