AGAFG 15 Picture

This was a tricky page. It took me some time to get clear images of the archive in my head. If you wonder what those things are on the lowest shelf, it's clay tablets.

Elpenor is of course a reference to the Odyssey. There he is said to be the youngest man in Odysseus' crew (it doesn't say exactly how old, though, but I figured 24 could be a fitting age), who fell alseep drunk at Kirke's roof and then fell down and broke his neck.

Of course, referring to the Odyssey is really an impossibility in my comic, since Persephone is well established as queen of the Underworld by the time of Odysseus and when this story takes place, she and Hades haven't even met yet. In fact, it would be impossible to refer to any ancient Greek text, but that would make the story much less fun, don't you think? And this is fantasy after all, so...
