Eye of Set Picture
The Eye of Horus is one of the most recognized symbols of ancient Egypt. This symbol is in the same vein, only it represents Set, the god of chaos. Since the eye of Horus is based on smooth, graceful lines, I figured Set, being associated with evil, should have sharp and sinister accents. The slit pupil conveys his bestial qualities, his association with all things foreign and his later demonization as a villain. He was associated with the color red, which is conveyed through the sanguine iris. Probably gonna use it for my band at some point.
It's the first thing I've ever done in Adobe Illustrator, the result of a little work and many hours of learning. I must admit, though: I wish I'd been using it years ago when I was making band logos; it's so much more ideal for this kind of thing.
