Hades and Persephone I Picture

An oil painting done based on the myth of Hades' abduction of Persephone.

The bottom right is a pomegranate, the fruit that tied Persephone to the Underworld.

The flower is a Narcissus, which is traditionally a flower that represents Hades.

The gold is reminiscent of plants, since when Persephone was stolen, her mother Demeter was struck by grief and the world started to die.

The ring with amethyst because...just because.
