The Underworld Picture

Alternative title: "Elysium, Asphodel, or Tartarus?"

A school assignment; draw your interpretation of Heaven and Hell. I sort of think in terms of Greek afterlife, so here's the way I see it.

If you're unfamiliar with Greek mythology, the belief is that Elysium is for those who lived a saint-like life (so the demigods would wind up here). Asphodel was a place of without judgment for those who did nothing special in their lives or those who knew that being judged would place them in Tartarus, a place of eternal punishment.

You can see that as I went upwards in the picture, the quality of the people/painting slowly deteriorated
