Colossus Picture

Originally I had intended this to be an "all-out war" piece with a lot of action going on in the background. Then I got lazy, and also poor planning with the overall composition didn't leave room for an effective chaotic backdrop, so I did a drastic scale shift and now the character that was meant to be one of many is a unique blazing behemoth erupting from a mountain range. And I pitted him/her/it against a little twin blade wielding girl for the lulz.

"Colossus" refers to the Colossus of Rhodes, a bronze statue cast in the image of the Sun Titan Helios in Greek mythology. Sun=Hot orange flares and glowing crevasses, as you can see. I love post-rationalization.

Cheers.
