Aphrodite and Hermes Picture

this was a content entry for an other drawing page. I didn't win but I had a great time creating this XD
It's from the greek mythology:
Aphrodite, know in Roma as Venus, is the Godess of love, and Hermes, on latin Merkur, is the Gods messanger and the God of thieves.
Aphrodite is older that Hermes (around the age of Zeus) and is therefore also drawn older that him...
There are different stories about these two; one of them is that Hermes was badly in love with Aphodite, but she turned him down. He got his father, Zeus, to send and eagle to steal her sandal, that he could exchange it to some time with her....
Aphrodite IS the Godess of love, litterally, and a great seductress...
Zeus didn't liked that she had that many lovers (like he's the one to talk) so he married her of to Hephaistos, the God who makes Zeus' lightnings, which he owed a service. Later they were seperated and she "non-official" married to Ares, the God of war and violence, whom is also the God the rest of the Gods (and people) hated....
Anyways Hermes and Aphrodite have around 4-7 children together, where the most know of them is Hermophroditos, the one who smelted together with a nymph and became transgended, and (possible, they can't agree wether Hermes is his dad or not) Eros, better known as Amour...

Well that's all for now
