Metamorphosis - Orpheus Picture

Black ink & watercolor on 24 x 32 cm aquarell paper (300 g/m^2).
There are lots of metamorphoses in ancient Greek mythology, like e.g. the metamorphsis of the nymph Daphne into a laurel tree as she fled from a lovesick Apollon. This metamorphosis occured by accident, when the back of Orpheus's head suddenly had too much hair for the angle of the face that I had originally wanted and left me no other choice than to save him by transformig him into a songbird.
