Laoyuanwen Character Sketch: Jiafa Picture

Element: Lake
Weapon: wine flask on a rope
Deva: Leviathan
Occupation: one of the Four Fiends

Familiars: two yaksa named Kongju and Cansha

One of the Four Fiends, he is the only one of the four that lives outside of the Forbidden City in Peking. This is because of his drunkeness and lewd behavior, Fenlie banished him from the palace. This banishment doesn't terminate his role in the Four Fiends. Hundun causes physical chaos. Jiafa causes spiritual chaos, turning people away from the gods.

He was the first of the Four Fiends to be killed when Yumei assisted Huise to kill him. In combat, he usually lets his minions fight for him, but he can be a drunken tiger when he loses all options.

Artist Note:
The Four Fiends are based on the Si-Xiong, demons or fallen gods in Chinese mythology associated with sinful acts. Jiafa, obviously, symbolizes gluttony.
