Aries--The Ram Picture

Title: Aries--The Ram--2008
Medium: Oil on Canvas

Notes: Aries: In Greek mythology, it is the head and horns of a flying ram with golden wool from the story of Phrixus and Helle. Phrixus and Helle fled from their evil stepmother Ino on the back of the ram. Helle fell off into the water and drowned. They call this place the Hellespont. Eventually the ram was sacrificed to Zeus as Phrixus' wedding gift, and the golden fleece was hung on a tree guarded by a dragon.

P.S. If you were wondering if it looks a bit different than it used to, it's not your imagination. This is take II on the photo. I realised I didn't like the first one and made some significant changes.
