DR - Julissa Moore - Hephaestus Picture

Name: Julissa Moore
Age: 12
Height: 4’4
Birthday: February 9
Race: Demigod
Sex: Female
God-parent: Hephaestus
Mortal Parent(s): Aneesah Moore
Powers:

Metalbender

Is able to manipulate metal with her bare hands, shaping it without the need for tools or heat. The metal will retain whatever shape she molds.

Lvl1: Can only shape metal in the most crude of ways, with great deals of force such as punching and kicking it. The impact hurts as it would without the ability. Can only bend hard metals when they have less than a one inch thickness. Can easily manipulate materials of up to 2 in Mohs scale of hardness. (tellurium, bismuth, cadmium, etc)

Lvl2: Still needs a great deal of force to manipulate metals. Although easier to manipulate than the last level, she now faces risk of ripping without the ability of fixing it. Can mold materials with up to 5 inches of thickness. Can easily manipulate materials of up to 4 in Mohs scale of hardness. (gold, silver, aluminum, zinc, iron, nickel, etc)

Lvl3: Somewhat easier to mold metal now, she doesn’t have to resort to violence to et it to budge. Can mold materials with up to 10 inches of thickness. Can easily manipulate materials of up to 6 in Mohs scale of hardness. (cobalt, palladium, beryllium, titanium, manganese, etc)

Lvl4: By applying enough pressure, she can now fix ruptures in the material, essentially fusing the pieces together, like one can make two pieces of Play-Doh into one by pressing them against one another. Can mold materials with up to 20 inches of thickness. Can easily manipulate materials of up to 8 in Mohs scale of hardness. (osmium, hardened steel, rhenium)

Lvl5: Is able to make refined, detailed sculptures, as the metal will budge even under her fingernails (which she will use to make patterns and engravings). Metal is essentially clay in her hands. Can mold materials with up to 50 inches of thickness. Can manipulate materials of 10 and above in Mohs scale of hardness, including Celestial bronze, Imperial gold, and Stygian iron.

*Note: That she can manipulate them doesn't mean that she's actually tried, as a lot of these metals aren't even common enough so she can get her hands on them and some cannot be obtained naturally.

Midas touch
Is able to turn one metal into another material simply by touching it and willing the change. Alloys and mixtures are increasingly difficult for her but she can manage them at higher levels.

Lvl5 Can transform one material into another at a time. Must be a pure material to make the change. Must be in direct contact with her skin. Ability includes only basic metals used during weapon crafting such as iron, steel, titanium, etc. Requires an extended amount of concentration and effort, which leaves her drained after every transformation. Process is very slow.

Lvl6 Can transform one material into another at a time. Can have traces of other metal in it but they will remain unchanged. Must be in direct contact with her skin. Requires considerable concentration and effort, which leaves her tired after every transformation. Process is slow.

Lvl7 Can transform several materials into others, but it happens one at a time. Can change and manipulate alloys, one material at a time. Must be in direct contact with her skin. Requires an extended amount of concentration and effort, which leaves her drained after every transformation. Process is faster but still not instantaneous.

Lvl8 Can transform several materials into others and it can happen two at a time, at the most. Must be a pure material to make the change. Must be in direct contact with her skin. Ability extends to other, nonmetal sculpting materials such as marble, clay, rock, etc. Requires an extended amount of concentration and effort, which leaves her drained after every transformation.

Lvl9 Can transform several materials into others and it can happen 3 at a time, at the most. Can now change alloys, handling all the different elements simultaneously. Must be in direct contact, though direct skin contact is optional. Ability extends to other, nonmetal sculpting materials such as marble, clay, rock, etc. though this process is slower because of lack of practice. Requires some concentration and effort, though she can handle at least 3 transformations one right after the other before needing to catch a break.

Lvl10 Can transform several materials simultaneously. Can create alloys out of any metals, even those with little compatibility with one another, and even mixtures of metals and nonmetals, though these might be highly unstable. Must be in direct contact, though direct contact with skin is not necessary. Requires little concentration and effort, which allows her several consecutive transformations with a maximum of 10 in quick succession before needing at least an hour of rest in between pauses.

It’s alive. It’s ALIIIIIVE.

Julissa can breathe life into the sculptures made out of any material she is familiar with. Sculptures are mute and only make the sound of their designated material as they move.

Lvl15 Sculptures have to be smaller than her. Can only imitate movement it has seen from Julissa. Though they can walk on their own, they end up wandering aimlessly, usually around the same spot. Animation stops if touched by anyone but Julissa or after a few hours. Can animate one a day.

Lvl16 Can imitate, move and follow movement they have seen from anyone. Animations can be altered while in motion, allowing Julissa to make repairs and additions to the animations without having to stop them first. Animation stops after a few hours or it receives damage. Can animate one every 6 hours

Lvl17 Medium animations; sculptures can be as big as 4’ (only slightly smaller than herself). She can now make small animated sculptures that can swim despite the materials they are made of. Animation stops if damaged or after a day. Can animate one every 3 hours.

Lvl18 She can now make small animations that are able to fly despite the materials they are made of. Animation stops if damaged or after a couple of days. Can animate one every hour

Lvl19 She can animate sculptures that weren’t made by her. Can respond to commands and follow specific instructions, but only from Julissa. Animation stops if damaged or after a week.

Lvl20 Can animate a sculpture as big as an adult human being (about six and a half feet) every hour. Animations can respond to commands and follow specific instructions from anyone. Animation can last up to two weeks and stops until commanded to or completely destroyed; severed limbs stop functioning, though the main body continues working.

Weapon:
None

Personality: Boyish, active and very energetic, Julissa finds more fun in running and playing outside than she does in videogames, dolls or toys. She enjoys being shown new things but has little patience for sitting inside. Television bores her unless it’s turned on in something like the Discovery Channel. She loves animals and doing things that will ultimately get her clothes dirty, like climbing trees, chasing cats, catching tadpoles and making sculptures out of mud. Will usually want things to go her way unless she’s following orders from someone she respects or adores (impress her and she’ll adore you, it’s that simple) At her best, she’s supportive, excitable and helpful. At her worst, she is bratty, stubborn and petty and will stop at nothing to prove you are wrong and she is right and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Deadly Flaw:
Conceited: She needs to always be right and have the last word in an dispute. She will make up data on the spot that supports her argument. She can’t take criticism; if anyone decides to give her advice, Julissa takes it as an attack on her person and will be offended by anyone’s attempts to set her right on her mistakes. She’s also a bigmouth and will not be able to keep a secret if in telling it, she can prove that she knows something that you don’t an therefore is smarter than you. Always says what’s on her mind without thinking of the consequences.
Victim syndrome: Will always blame the circumstances or everyone else for the things that happen to her or for everything she does wrong. Unwilling to take responsibility for mistakes despite being the first to jump for praise and appreciation.

Background:

Living with her mother, brother and uncle in a farmhouse that doubles as her mother’s art studio and her uncle’s farm machinery repair shop, Julissa hasn’t had much exposure to monsters or any sort of ‘weird stuff’. Her first real involvement with the world of demigods and mythological creatures was when she and her brother were simultaneously claimed on their mother’s birthday after gifting her objects made through their different abilities – sculpture and mechanics. Soon after, Billy brought a boy from his class home, who claimed to be a satyr and spoke of a camp for kids like them. Excited over the mere idea of a place with other kids her age with unusual talents and more siblings and monsters and fighting and, most of all, learning about their father, Julissa is super excited about her first year in camp.

Other Info:

-Full blooded sister to Billy Moore. [link]
-Used to being babied and catered to since she’s the younger sibling, she likes the attention and when things go her way.
-Doesn’t like skirts, dresses or constricting clothes and rather prefers boyish garments that allow her to run and keep an active lifestyle.
-They’re not dreads, but Shirley Temple-like curls. They grow like that and bounce as she walks.
-Daughter of a metal sculptor, Juli is heavily influenced by her mother and wants to imitate everything she does.
-Although with a very different personality than Billy, she respects her older brother and he is probably one of the few people that can make her sit down and listen.
