Nymph I -Napaeae- Picture

In Greek mythology, the Napaeae were a type of shy but mirthful nymph. They lived in mountain valleys, glens or grottoes. They are associated with Artemis, and often accompany her.

Part one of a developing series on a personal reinterpretation of figures in classical mythology that are seldomly depicted.

A word about the right side of the image: the film used was a rotten roll of film, having been *repackaged* from someone else's undeveloped roll. As such, all of the images were double exposed, and this was the only salvagable image. However, the anomalies have grown on me a little, so I'm leaving them in there. What do you all think?
