Magheq Picture

Again, based on the concept of the solar deity of Canarian mythology (see "Maqhiq, Daughter of Ra" kanar-amazikh.deviantart.com/a… ), I've been playing with some designs. They both represent the myth of Magheq, in which the demon Guayota kidnapps her (the spiral, a traditional representation of the Sun) and locks her in the depths of Mount Teide. To break her free, the sky god Acham├ín parts open the mountain and traps the demon by crumbling the mountain over him. The letters above read "m-gh-q" with Old Tifinagh Berber alphabet (which doesn't represent vowels).
