Persephone sketch Picture

Will be scrapped later. A quick sketch to shown ~Iris-Yukimihime my Persephone.

~Iris-Yukimihime and I are drawing the greek gods. This is my verion of Persephone.

Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter and one of the numerous illegitimate children of the king of gods. In one version she is the daughter of Zeus and Styx (the goddess of the river bearing the same name).
In the myth she was abducted by Hades with Zeus permission to become his bride. Her disappearance made Demeter desperate. Demeter rendered the earth sterile until her daughter was given back to her. Zeus asked Hades to send Persephone back to calm Demeter. Before going back to the upper realm, Persephone ate pomegranate's seeds which bounded her to the Underworld. Zeus then decided that she would spend half of the year with her mother and the other half with her husband to make everyone happy.

Most Persephone's versions I have seen are rather earthly, most of the time having natural hair color like brown or red, sometime blond or black.
I wanted her to look more ethereal, kind of like a ghost, so I gave her pale white-blond hair and pale skin (pale but healthy pale). Her eyes are bright amber/golden and stand out.
She wear Ivy and other leafed plants in her hair but rarely flowers. Her hair is usually free. She favors pale colors, white and earthly color like green and brown on the surface.
In the underworld, she adopt the dark clothing of the infernal deities and wear simple jewelry. She put her hair in simple but elegant hairdo.

Personality wise, she's a dreamer and seems a bit airhead. She's annoyed by her mother overprotectiveness and hates the name Koré her mother insist on using. She's a bit of a loner, dislike most of the Olympian who try to court her and rather passive. She's the kind of person who leave silently before anyone has the chance to talk to her.
Demeter keeps her rather secluded and avoid bringing her to Olympus to avoid bad influence. (most of her half siblings and her father...)
We need to discuss the details with Iris.
