Halcyon Days Picture

Mythological scenes are back! This time, Ceyx and Alcyone, who are turned into, well, halcyon birds (I think that's kingfishers, but unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with English terms for birds). Read the story up in the best Metamorphoses there are (the ones by Ovid). Myth says there are a few days in winter when the sea is calm, Halcyon Days. There are named like that because the gods granted Ceyx and Alcyone to lay their eggs on the cliffs at sea during that period. Yep, that's it.

At first I considered doing a full-fledged watercolour paiting of the transformation scene, but then I felt like practicising cross-hatched "ink" shading once more. I admit it isn't ink, though, I used 0.03 and 0.05 Copic Multiliners. I like those. Unfortunately, the 0.03 three one was almost empty and the 0.05 ones were already too large for this, so the shading turned out a little rough. I think I'm not made for anything but rough works.
Oh, and I used references for the rocks, and for the poses of course.

Anyway, I had fun with the rocks!
Perspective? What's perspective? Can I eat it?
